How far is Cannes from Nice airport?
27 kilometres west along the coast. By the A8 motorway the drive takes about 35 minutes; along the coastal road through Antibes and Golfe-Juan it takes 50 minutes or more, and much longer in high summer.

Cannes lies 27 kilometres west of Nice airport, which makes it one of the shortest airport transfers on the Riviera: about 35 minutes on the A8, or a little longer along the coast road through Antibes and Golfe-Juan.
The route matters more here than the distance. The A8 is quick and predictable and its toll is included in our price. The coastal N98 is slower but passes Cap d'Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and the bay of Golfe-Juan, and in April or October, when the road is empty, it is a much better introduction to the coast. Ask for it when you book; there is no surcharge.
Cannes runs on an events calendar, and the transfer changes character with it. During the Film Festival in May, MIPIM in March and the yacht show in September, the Croisette and the streets behind it are closed or filtered, taxi ranks empty within minutes of each arrival wave, and hotel entrances move. A car booked in advance with your hotel name attached is a different experience from queueing at the airport during festival week.
We serve the whole Cannes area, not just the Croisette hotels: Le Cannet on the hillside, Mandelieu-la-Napoule to the west, Mougins inland, and the Vieux Port for anyone joining a boat. Palm Beach and the residential districts east of the port are equally straightforward.
For the return, allow 45 minutes to the airport in normal traffic and an hour during festival periods or the summer peak. We time the pickup from your check-in deadline, and the driver keeps an eye on the A8 conditions on the morning itself.
Your driver waits with a name sign in the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight uses. Nice airport has two terminals linked by a free shuttle; we take yours from the flight number, so you walk out and the driver is there rather than crossing between buildings.
We would rather you booked with the full picture. Here is what else is available on this route and what each option really costs you.
| Option | Price | Time | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Express coach from the airport to Cannes | Fare set by the regional network | About 50 minutes on a fixed timetable | Direct and comfortable with a luggage hold. It drops at the bus station near the Vieux Port, so hotels on the Croisette or up in Le Cannet mean a further taxi or a walk. |
| TER train via Nice-Ville or Cagnes-sur-Mer | Fares set by the regional network | About 40 minutes on the train, plus getting to the station | The train itself is quick and frequent. Reaching it from the airport means the tram or a bus first, and Cannes station is a walk from the seafront hotels. |
| Metered taxi from the rank | Metered, with Riviera tariffs | About 35 minutes | Fine outside the events calendar. During the Film Festival and the yacht show the rank empties within minutes of each arrival bank and the wait can be substantial. |

Yes, at no extra charge. Ask for the coastal route and the driver follows the N98 past Cap d'Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Golfe-Juan. It is a genuinely beautiful drive outside the summer months, when the same road is congested.
Yes, and it is when booking ahead matters most. Streets around the Croisette are closed or filtered, hotel entrances move and the airport taxi rank empties quickly. Give us your hotel name and the driver plans an approach that is open.
